There's no i in Kubernetes: Why Kubernetes Security is a Team Sport

Kubernetes adoption is rapidly growing, with organizations of all sizes building cloud-native applications. Securing these applications is a top priority but also a challenging one, as it brings together a diverse range of engineers across DevOps, development, and security teams, each with different priorities and areas of domain expertise. How can these teams collaborate to ship production grade software quickly and securely? In this talk, we’ll share our synthesized learnings from user research across the Calico community. In particular, we’ll focus on how collaboration across teams is critical for securing cloud-native applications, how these teams collaborate on application security across the SDLC, and why network security plays such a cornerstone role in helping teams ship secure software.
